Beside this we are part of the climate initiative of Bundesverband Druck. Now we are able to calculate the carbon dioxide (CO2) that comes out during the production of newspapers by dint of a special tool. If desired, we inform our customers about the values. Of course we are interested in keeping the turnout of CO2 as low as possible to preserve the environment. Furthermore we offer our customers a compensation of the emerged emissions by the organisation First Climate through buying CO2- to finance energy-projects. This faciliation reduces the CO2 emission in the same proportion as it was required for the production of the newspaper. The arrangements of First Climate are all accepted as environmental improvements by the UN. We are one of the first printing plants who offers this kind of service.
